Taste of London
British food comes second only to the weather in most people’s criticisms of the UK. For many Brits, especially those based in London, this is quite surprising. The Capital has one, if not the, most diverse range of restaurants in the world. You can literally dine out every night in a different corner of the world taking in culinary delights from Monglolia, Lebanon, Greece, Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina, Persia right through to eating in more well known Japanese, Italian, French, Indian, Chinese, Thai restaurants. To say that you catn’t eat well in London is to do disservice to the world. On top of this London boasts Michelin stars at every corner and some of the most famous chefs and restaurateurs in the world.
The challenge for many diners is that the best restaurants are outside of their budget and they are fobbed off with the burgeoning ‘fast-food’ trade or ‘Eat-as-much-as-you-can’ canteen establishments. Well now there is an opportunity to taste some of London’s finest. In Regent’s park, between the 15 and the 18 June, forty of London’s top restaurants and best-known chefs are erecting min-kitchens serving taster-size helpings of their signature dishes.
This year you can sample food from Le Gavroche (French), Nahm (Thai), Al Duca (Italian) and Inn the Park (Classic English) amongst others. To reserve your place at Taste of London visit: www.tasteoflondon.co.uk or call the booking hotline on 0870 128 3622.
