Pound downturn: What this means for language students
The English currency has reached the worst record downturn of the last 6 years.
The Chancellor of the Exchequer warned the UK’s economic downturn will be ‘more profound and long-lasting’ than people had expected. Now, in fact, the pound is 1.18 against the euro.
But this is not real bad news for international shoppers hunting. Now that the euro gets stronger, it is a really good moment to come to London and search bargains. In particular it will be good for high-end luxury goods which will be almost 10% cheaper compared with the other countries of Europe. Besides, this will be a good situation not only for the Europeans people, but also for the retailers who were destined to a crisis because of the economic downturn.
It is always better to see the positive side of things!
P.S. Language courses are cheaper too!
