Discounts on Theatre tickets – go to the south side of Leicester Square
and you will find a booth selling cut-price theatre tickets for that day.
There is normally more choice for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Go boating in Hyde Park and Regent’s Park – want something to do
on Sunday afternoon (the busiest but best day, as there are many other
rowers to laugh at). Head for the parks and impress your friends with your
rowing skills. You my not be able to row – but neither can the others!

Live Music in pubs and bars – want a rest after a long day sightseeing?
Then try a pub or bar with free music (you will have to pay for your
drinks, of course). There are hundreds to choose from. Check the “what’s
on” websites for details. Here’s an example.
Be frightened by models and dummies – go to the London Dungeon
and take a trip on the terrifying Traitor Boat Ride to Hell, then try to find
your way out of the Labyrinth of the Lost.
Churches – as an alternative to Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s
Cathedral, (which charge for admission, but not worship), visit some of the
other truly beautiful churches that London offers: St Martin-in-the-Fields in
Trafalgar Square; St Clement Danes in the Strand; St Bride’s in Fleet
Street and Temple Church in Inner Temple.

Until Sun July 4th London is hosting the “Elephant Parade”: a fundraising and public campaign for endargered Asian elephants. This great show takes place all over London, featuring 250 brightly painted life-size elephants beautify every park, street corner of the city, each decorated by a different artist or celebrity. Go for a walk this Saturday and you will also meet the Artist behind each elephant!
By the way… if you are interested, all elephants are for sale and every bid you place is a bid for habitat.
One of the Uk’s biggest department stores , Selfridges, has teamed up with some of the best uk musical talent to create one off windows. Selfidges on Oxford Street , London has some of the largest display windows in the world.
Each window is based on a song by some great stars including Florence and The Machine, Dizzee Rascal, Hot Chip (by Pete Fowler above), Empire Of The Sun, Paloma Faith The XX and Marina And The Diamonds.
The second window is the Marina and the Diamond window.
The last one is the Florence and the Machine window based on her song Cosmic Love.
