World Cup Fever
Today the World Cup opened with two draws (South Africa 1 - 1 Mexico and Uruguay 0 - 0 France).
In South Africa this was a Happy Day: as journalists report, all the worries about crime and security, tickets, transport and infrastructure melted away in the bright Johannesburg sunshine. A couple of hours before the match started fans of all ages and backgrounds were running excitedly into the stadium for a party to remember.
The world cup fever is spreading in London too. There’s no other city in the world where you can cheer along with fans of each of the 32 nations competing. Time Out published a list of what apparently are the best places to watch the matches, nation by nation.
