Cambridge exam preparation
This Summer intensive course consists of 30 lessons (22.5 clock hours) of English tuition per week in a group at your level from 09.00 - 15.00, Mondays to Fridays.
Aimed at: This course is dedicated to students who are looking to improve and practise their English in the quickest time possible. This course is available to students of Elementary, Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced levels.
Benefits of Doing this Course: On this Intensive course, classes are taken with just 12 students. This gives you a lot of teacher-student time and ensures that you have the best chance of making a leap in your English ability. By placing an emphasis on modern communication skills you will be ready to speak to people in a variety of social and work situations, and write in English from e-mails to formal letters.
Methodology: Totnes School favours using text books, newspapers, audio recordings, video / DVD, the Internet and e-learning.

- Length of 1 class: 45 Minutes, held in blocks of 1.5 hours
- Time: 09:00 – 12:30 & 12:30 - 15:00
- Course start dates: Any Monday
- Bank Holidays: 02/04, 05/04, 03/05, 31/05, 30/08. In weeks with a Bank Holiday Monday, courses begin on the following day. However you can book yourself on an all-day excursion. Lessons are not recouped for bank holidays. The school will be closed between the 18/12/10 and the 02/01/10.
- Minimum course length: 2 weeks
- High season: Monday 28th June to Friday 27th August 2010
- Included: Fees include: Tuition, loan of course book and materials, testing and orientation, welcome pack, weekly teacher- led self- access and e-learning sessions, monthly tutorials and tests for long-term students and certificate of attendance.
- Total weekly course time: 22.5 hours. This course meets the minimum 15 hour requirement for Visa Students.
