IELTS Exam Preparation Courses 20 lessons
IELTS (International English Testing System) is designed to assess the language ability of students needing to study or work in English. More and more educational institutions, professional associations and government agencies around the world use IELTS as a measure of an international applicant's proficiency in English.
Candidates are tested in listening, writing, reading and speaking.
All candidates take the same listening and speaking modules.
There is a choice between Academic (The school runs Academic preparation courses) and General Training in the reading and writing modules. The test takes 2 hrs and 45 mins. Listening and reading are marked in half bands while writing and speaking are marked in whole bands. The listening paper covers both social and educational/training situations.

- Course start dates: Any Monday
- Bank Holidays: 02/04, 05/04, 03/05, 31/05, 30/08, 25/12 and . In weeks with a Bank Holiday Monday, courses begin on the following day. Lessons are not recouped for bank holidays.
- Minimum course length: 1 week
- Included in the course fees: Library, Internet access, Coffee/tea/juice, Use of kitchen (microwave, fridge), Printing (up to 5 sheets per day), Lesson materials, CV checking, Social programme, Paperwork – school letters for council tax, visa, etc., End of course certificate. Not included in the fees: Examination fees, External social events, Bank account opening fee, Discount travel card application fee £10
- Total weekly course time: 16 hours 40 minutes. This course meets the minimum 15 hour requirement for Visa Students.
