Homestay
 
Using a language in everyday situations is the best aid to fluency. For this reason most students choose to stay with a host family.  The highest standard of host family accommodation is available to all Dublin – Leeson Street students.
 
Families are very carefully selected.  All accommodation is inspected and monitored on an ongoing basis by our accommodation officer. Host families are situated in the best residential areas of Dublin, on direct bus routes to the city centre and the school.  Staying in an Irish home ensures total immersion in the language.

In a host family you will be guaranteed a single room; breakfast, evening meal and all weekend meals; study facilities in your host family with adequate heat during winter months; that students with the same mother tongue will not be placed with the same family

Other accommodation
During the summer months (June–August) self-catering apartments can be organized in the University College Dublin campus.

Guest-house, self-catering or hotel accommodation, which costs considerably more, can be arranged on request for any student not wishing to stay with a host family at any time.

Homestay accommodation is where you stay in a private home with friendly English speaking hosts. It is the most popular type of accommodation since you get to experience an English speaking household whilst learning about Irish culture.

This type of accomodation includes full board: a breakfast, a packed lunch and an evening meal with the family.Please note: this accommodation is NOT available to students on our 1 Year Academic Programme.
