Escuela de Inglés - Exeter
Totnes is an interesting and unusual historic town set on the banks of the River Dart in the heart of the glorious Devon countryside, close to Dartmoor and the South Devon coast. Students are welcomed by locals and can easily become part of the town’s unique ambience and life. It’s a small town (no need for buses or cars) with a fascinating mix of traditional and alternative lifestyles- where students quickly feel at home and make rapid progress with their English learning.

Labelled "the capital of New Age chic” by Time magazine and considered one of the top 10 places to be by the British Airways magazine High Life, Totnes has a strong alternative and eco-aware community pioneering many green initiatives. Chief amongst these is the Transition Town initiative, where the town is working to re-develop itself as a sustainable community, committed to cutting down its carbon emissions, reducing its dependence on oil and becoming self-reliant in practical ways. We even have our own Totnes Pound, introduced to keep money circulating in the local area and reduce dependence on big business.
