Intensive General English
This 21 classes per week course is ideal for students that wish to take a more Intensive programme and thus learn English quicker. The Intensive General English includes 15 classes of General English, where you will practise all the language skills of speaking, listening, pronunciation, reading, vocabulary building, writing and grammar. Then in your additional 6 classes you will work on advanced communication or English for the workplace (basic business English for people near the start of their careers).
Aimed at: This is London – Muswell Hill School’s most popular course as it helps you learn more English more quickly and still have time to enjoy yourself in London. This course is available to students of Pre-intermediate, Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, Advanced levels. This course is not appropriate for Total Beginners.
Benefits of Doing this Course: By the end of your course, you will have improved your general and specialist English, increased your vocabulary and built your confidence. Homework is set and corrected every day and you also have regular personal meetings with your teachers. This way you can monitor your progress and discuss areas you find more difficult and where you are having success.

- Course Start Dates: Any Monday
- Bank Holidays: 01/01, 10/04, 13/04, 04/05, 25/05, 31/08, 25/12 and 28/12. In weeks with a Bank Holiday Monday, courses begin on the following day. Lessons are not recouped for bank holidays. The school will be closed between the 21/12/09 and the 03/01/10.
- Minimum Course Length: 2 weeks
- Included in the course fees: placement & progress tests, london maps, student handbook, student card, first day sightseeing / induction walk, free internet & Wi-Fi access, loan of DVD/ audio / printed materials, individual meetings with teachers, some social activities, end of course report (8 weeks+), end of course certificate. Not included: Learning materials Fee, Examination Fees, Some social activities.
- Total weekly course time: 21 hours. This course meets the minimum 15 hour requirement for Visa Students.
